What happens to the image?
The filter reads the original pixels, simplifies fine texture, strengthens existing contours, and distributes dots through the light and dark areas. A final pass adds soft ink spread and uneven pigment.
It never redraws a face or moves its features. Strong contrast can still hide detail; start with Soft e ink for portraits, then increase brightness if the shadows close up.
Everything runs in this browser. Closing the page clears the image. Export saves a PNG without the original photo’s metadata.
